We had a Town Hall last week. In what was one of the most difficult conversations I’ve ever had, I shared something that’s been on my mind for a while.

I haven’t been honest about where things are at. For months I’ve been pretending that I love this business and that everything is great with our community. The truth is that I’ve been burnt out and uninspired for months.

I have not been showing up for you.

I’ve been struggling for a while with the fact that coworking as a business model generates revenue from selling desks to businesses and entrepreneurs. And I’m not interested in selling desks.

I’m interested in helping you build a business and life that you’re totally in love with.

I’m interested in helping you make the impact you want to make on the world and truly realise your potential.

I love helping you get unstuck from challenges and reach heights you didn’t even know were possible.

That’s what gets me out of bed in the morning.

We have incredible humans in this community. We have an outrageously supportive and connected group of people here.

What we have is completely different than other coworking spaces.

It is remarkable. Like, really, really special.

We have a ridiculously connected community. One that’s honest, open, vulnerable. REAL.

Last week I asked: How many people are not where they want to be with their business?

Many hands went up.

We’re not just here to be a friendly ear for one another, but to make sure every one of us is setting big goals and committing to each one of us reaching those goals.

You are all amazing. You are each passionate about making a difference. Whether it’s for your family, community, or people and the planet globally, there is an impact you want to make on the world.

What’s been missing is the opportunity for you to level up.

We have not been holding one another accountable to create bigger dreams, to move through challenges and to clear away the things that are holding us back.

We are a collective. This means that as a Community, we succeed and fail together.

Each one of you is responsible for everyone else’s success.

I want us to stop playing small. I’m creating a new possibility for 2020 - for you, for this community - to play BIG.

I'm creating the possibility of this Community as a space for us to create big dreams, share them and figure out how to get there.

And I have your back.

You’re here to build a business and life that you’re totally crazy about.

Last week, we went through a quick visualisation. I encourage you to do spend time digging into these questions.

Close your eyes and imagine your future self 5 years from now.

Standing there in the space where anything is possible.

Take away the limits of the last year and the years before that.

Take away all of the things you feel constrained by at the moment.

Take away all of the things that are keeping you small.

If you didn’t have the fear, the self doubt, the worry, the voice in your head that says you don’t have the skills, the expertise, the experience, the … [fill in the blank here].

What would be possible for you?

What would be possible for your business?

What would be possible for your family?

For your life?

Now from that space, imagine…

What does your life look like in 5 years?

Who are you with? Where are you? What does your business look like? What kind of customers do you work with? How do you spend your days? How much money are you making? What have you created?

I’ll leave you with 2 juicy questions to ponder over the break.

YOUR VISION: Where do you want to be in the next 5 years?

WHAT YOU NEED: What do you need to do next year to get you closer to that dream? What do you need from our community to help you get there?

If you could literally do anything.

What would you create in the next 5 years?

Now, what do you need to create next year to get you closer to that vision?

What would next year look like for us if we were all-in for that possibility?

Are you game for that?

That’s the kind of 2020 I’m excited about.

Have a yummy, restful, love-filled, sun-kissed holiday.

We’ll see you in the new year.

A new year, a new decade, a new you.
